Former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted is teaming up with Reverb to sell a selection of instruments from his personal collection, including significant pieces from Metallica’s history. The collection features basses used on tours for “…And Justice for All” and the “Black Album,” such as the 1992 Alembic Europa Custom 10-string bass and a 1989 Alembic anniversary model. Also available is Newsted’s 5-string fretless Zon bass, used for recording “Until It Sleeps.” The Reverb shop opens on July 24, giving fans a chance to own a piece of metal history.
