Machine Head Announce New Album ‘Unatoned’ + 2025 Tour

Machine Head will release their eleventh studio album, Unatoned, on April 25, 2025, via Nuclear Blast/Imperium Recordings. The album was written while on tour and recorded between July 2023 and December 2024 at multiple studios, including Robb Flynn’s Jam Room and Sharkbite Studios. Flynn co-produced the record alongside Zack Ohren, with mixing/mastering handled by Colin Richardson and Chris Clancy.

Unatoned is described as a mix of melancholy melodies, bludgeoning riffs, and anthemic sing-alongs. It features 12 tracks, including the latest single, “Unbound”, which follows “These Scars Won’t Define Us”, released in November 2024.

Machine Head will also embark on a North American tour starting April 5, 2025, in Oakland, CA, and wrapping up May 10 in Kelowna, BC. The band will be joined by In Flames, Lacuna Coil, and Unearth.

This will be Machine Head’s first album with guitarist Reece Alan Scruggs, who replaced Wacław “Vogg” Kiełtyka due to the latter’s commitments with Decapitated. The current lineup consists of Robb Flynn (vocals/guitar), Jared MacEachern (bass), Matt Alston (drums), and Scruggs (guitar).

Unatoned follows 2022’s Of Kingdom And Crown and continues Machine Head’s momentum after their Slaughter The Martour tour.
